What is this presentation about?
Before planning any building project, some level of research is essential – and ideally, most of it should happen on site. While many construction projects share basic similarities – they all have walls, roofs, doors, etc. – every region is unique. At the same time, every region is different, and the requirements each project must meet vary greatly depending on numerous factors. These include climate, local customs, the risk of natural disasters, the availability of materials, existing infrastructure, ease of transportation, and more. This presentation provides an overview of all these factors and aims to summarize them clearly.
The presentation takes a closer look at two key topics: understanding the context where the building is planned, and figuring out how to assess which building materials might realistically be available for the project.
